Annual Sport Prize Distribution Ceremony was held on 26th March 2024 in Silver Jubilee Conference Hall of Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Ramtek. The occasion was marked by the presence of Principal, Dr. Avinash N. Shrikhande, Dean (Student Activities), Dr. Pankaj S. Ashtankar, Dean (IQAC), Dr. Yashwant Jibhkate , In charge ,Physical Education Department , Mr. Dinesh Joshi, Heads of the Departments, Deans, Faculty Members and Students were present on the occasion. The ceremony began with the lamp lightning by Principal and other dignitaries present. Sport Secretary, Mr. Nishikant Ramteke read the Annual Sport Report.Dr. Pankaj S. Ashtankar, Dean (Student Activities) gave the details on various sport events conducted during academic session 2023-24. He also said to utilize the indoor and outdoor stadiums for physical development.
Dr. Avinash N. Shrikhande, Principal delivered the presidential address in which he insisted on life skills and career aspects in sports. He also heighted the importance of sports like Sports teaches discipline, respect, friendship, leadership, resilience, teamwork and overcoming adversity. It is a crucial part of a student's growth and development. A good institute aims to improve a student's physical abilities and helps them learn a sense of good sportsmanship.
In the Ceremony the sport event winners were honoured by presenting certificates, trophies and medals of winners and Runner-ups and some students were praised with the awards of Best Outgoing sport person of the Academic Year 2023-24.
Ms.Girisha Metta , Mr.Ayog Dupare hosted the program and Ms. Chetna Dhore proposed vote of thanks. The program concluded with National Anthem.
