One day workshop on Project Based Innovations and Patent
Research and Development (R & D ) cell and Incubation Centre of Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science, Ramtek organized a one day workshop on “Project Based Innovations and Patent” for the faculty on 22 July 2023 in association with Institute’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).
The workshop was inaugurated by chief guest Dr. Sandeep .S. Khedkar (DirectorYCCE-TBI) Yashwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, Nagpur and presided by Dr. Avinash N. Shrikhande, Principal, KITS, Ramtek.
explained the importance of patents and encouraged faculty, final year and third year students to get knowledge related to the patent from the workshop.
Dr. S. S. Khedkar explained how to find the real problem in society and how to solve this problem by innovative solutions. Further he focused on methodology of innovation in detail and encouraged the faculty to think about possible innovation in their engineering field. He also discussed the patent filing process and the importance of patent attorneys. He appealed to the entire faculty not to be involved in unethical practices to publish patents.
Dr. Avinash N. Shrikhande, Principal, KITS, Ramtek highlighted the importance of innovation and its patent for the benefit of society and encouraged faculty to start the innovative work through student’s project work so that it can be presented to designated visiting committees in order to created good reputation of the institute.
Dr. S. K. Bhele and Dr. D. C. Katpatal worked as a coordinator of the workshop and the anchoring of the workshop was done by Dr. K. V. Padole. The session was ended by a vote of thanks given by Mrs.Ankita Nathe. Total 70 participants attended the workshop.
