Awareness Program on “Sexual Exploitation and Gender Discrimination”
The Awareness Program on “Sexual Exploitation and Gender Discrimination”, Under Women’s Pakhwada Celebration, RTM Nagpur University in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell(IQAC) was organized by Internal Complaints Committee(ICC),K.I.T.S., Ramtek on 04.12.23. The Program aimed to educate and sensitize the audience on issues related to sexual exploitation and gender discrimination with aim to empower the individuals, cultivate the culture of respect and equality among them.
The Program commenced with a warm welcome and opening remarks by Mrs. Rasika Rewatkar, Assistant Professor, Information Technology. Dr. Harsha P. Ambilduke , B.A.M.S,MD( Pathology), Ramtek, Chief Guest, Dr. Avinash N Shrikhande , Principal, Dr. Pankaj Ashtankar , HOD, ECD & Dean (Student Activity),Mrs. Saroj Shambharkar, HOD, ITD & Dr. K. Gajanan, the members of Internal Complaints Committee(ICC), K.I.T.S. , Ramtek have inaugurated the program through lighting of the auspicious lamp and Saraswati Vandana.
Dr. Avinash Shrikhande, Principal shares the views on the occasion to assure that K.I.T.S., Ramtek is committed to create a safe and inclusive campus environment for all students and staff.
Dr. Harsha Ambilduke delivered an insightful address, shedding light on the importance of addressing sexual exploitation and gender discrimination in our society. Dr. Ambilduke highlighted the various forms of sexual exploitation and gender discrimination, also the protection and prevention from them. Total 70 staff and students have participated in the program.
Dr. K. Gajanan has proposed the vote of thanks and acknowledged the chief guest, Dr. Harsha Ambilduke, the team ICC Mrs. Sangita Bhure, Mr. Ruprao Kathane, Program Coordinators, Mrs. Saroj Shambharkar & Mrs. Rasika Rewatkar and participants for their involvement in making the program a success.
