KAVIKULGURU INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCE (KITS)

Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science, Ramtek under the aegis of IQAC celebrated "International Women's Day" On 08th  March 2023. Literary Club and Architecture Association of KITS organized this celebration. The event was graced with the of Brahmakumari Lalita Didi as the chief guest and Mr. Mukund Bhure, naib tahsildar and Mr. Shobhelal Kodwate, Revenue Officer as the guest of honour. Dean Academics, Dr. Vilas Mahatme, Dean Student activities, Dr. Pankaj Ashtankar along with Head B. Arch, Mrs. Kalpana Thakare, Head IQAC, Dr. Y. M. Jibhakate, faculty members and students were present on this occasion. Ms. Rashi Shrigadiwar (Faculty, B. Arch) delivered a heartfelt speech on this auspicious day leading to a Drama "Shakti" presented by Students from various departments, jointly practiced and performed, promoting women empowerment. The skit received great love, recognition and motivation from the audience and the invited guests. Chief guest, Brahmakumari Lalita Didi shared her beautiful words of wisdom and empowered the seated audience by talking about mental peace and strengthening of one's soul. Ms. Bhavana Raut (faculty, B.Arch) proposed the vote of thanks, thanking the Institute for its support, the audience for its presence and guests for their valuable time and words. The occasion was compeered by Ms. Anna John. The invited guests were felicitated by the Institute. All women were made to feel valued and appreciated on this day. To add up to the enthusiasm of Women's Day in KITS Campus, essay competition and Rangoli competition on topics of women empowerment was also organized by Literary Club and Architecture Association. All in all, the International Women's Day at KITS, Ramtek was celebrated as a festivity in the campus.
