The 26th of January is a gala day for every Indian. On 26th January 1950, the Constitution of India came into force and our country, India became the Republic. We celebrate this day as a festival every year with a sports prize distribution ceremony. All the students assembled in front of the administrative block at 7:30 am. The principal unfurled the national flag. This was followed by our National Anthem ‘Jan Gan Man’ sung by a team of students. The Principal addressed the gathering. He emphasized the need for student participation in Games and sports. The principal also lauded the NCC for its immense contribution towards the cleanliness campaign with almost 40-45 cadets participating in its various events.
The Department of Physical Education and Sports marks itself as one amongst the most efficacious department of the institute. It strives to excel at all levels and bring Laurels to the college. Considering the concept of “SPORTS FOR ALL” throughout the entire session the department organized Intramural Sports. It is one of the largest co-curricular activity programs that offer an extensive opportunity to all the students and staff. The following events have been organized under Intramural Sports CRICKET, VOLLEYBALL, CHESS, ATHLETICS, TABLE TENNIS, CARROM .
The prizes are distributed on 26th January 2020 for the intramural sport. The program ended with the distribution of sweets by NSS volunteers.
