33rd Annual Day Function of KITS, Ramtek
33rd Annual Day Function of the Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Ramtek was celebrated in Silver Jubilee Conference Hall on 4th March 2024. The ceremony began with the lamp lightning by honourable Chief guest, Dr T.R.K Rao, Director General (Mining), Directorate of Geology and Mining, Government of Maharashtra and other dignitaries.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Honourable Secretary, Vodithala Education Society, Sri. V. Srinivasa Rao, Honourable Member of the Society, V. Kishen Rao, Honourable Executive Director, Sri. V. Pranav, Principal, Dr. Avinash Shrikhande , Dean (Academic) Dr. Vilas Mahatme , Dean (Student Activity), Dr. Pankaj S. Ashtankar, Student representative, Mr. Ramu Gollapudi , Head of the Departments, Deans,Faculty Members and Students were present on the occasion.
Dr. TRK Rao in his speech stated that the KITS students are getting all the facilities under the same roof besides quality education. It is a matter of satisfaction that the students are doing a great job in the different parts of the world. He reminisced about the contribution of Late V. Rajeshwar Rao, Founder Chairman, in providing facilities of technical education for the students from the rural parts of the nation.
He said that there is a lot of young power in India. India will soon become a third largest economy after US and China. India ranks third in start-ups in the world. Infrastructure work is underway in large numbers. Youths have a lot of employment opportunities.
Honourable Secretary of the Institute, Sh. Srinivas Rao said that the organization is providing facilities for the improvement of the student. Principal, Dr.Avinash Shrikhande said that the organization will soon be an autonomous. He informed about the various concessions granted to the students by management throughout the year. During the ceremony 94 meritorious students were honoured with medals, certificates and cash awards.
Dr. Pankaj S. Ashtankar introduced the Chief Guest Dr. TRK Rao. Ms.Rashi Shrigadiwar, Shravani Chakinarapuwar, Sagar Jiwane hosted the ceremony and Ms. Anjali Narad proposed vote of thanks. The program concluded with National Anthem.
