ICC Organizes Awareness Program on “Women’s Health and Safety”
An awareness program on “Women’s Safety Law, UGC Regulation 2015” was organized on 05.12.2024 at Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Ramtek. The Chief Guest for the program was Dr. Rajeshree Meshram, Chairperson of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) and Women’s Cell, Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek. The program was organized by the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) under the banner of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The primary objective of the program was to raise awareness about the ICC and UGC Regulation 2015 during Mahila Pakhwada. Dr. Rajeshree Meshram highlighted various grievance redressal mechanisms, supportive measures, and processes available under the UGC regulations. She also elaborated on the composition and objectives of the ICC. Dr. Avinash N. Shrikhande, Principal, in his remarks emphasized the importance of awareness programs in institutions to ensure a safe and supportive environment for women. Mrs. Vaishali Pande, Presiding Officer of the ICC, introduced the theme of the program and its significance. Mrs. Saroj Shambharkar, a member of the ICC, proposed the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the Management, Principal, and the esteemed gathering for their participation, which contributed to the success of the program. Around 80 women staff and students of the institute attended the program. Dr. Snehal Malode conducted the proceedings, while Dr. K. Gajanan, Mr. Srinivas Rayadu, Mrs. Sangita Bhure, and Mr. Rupesh Kathane worked to ensure the success of the program.
