NATIONAL CONFERENCE PREAMBLE We are today, the inhabitants of a virtual environment, living in a virtual space. Business management today is on the threshold of hectic competition, technological explosion, information evaluation and growing environmental concern. New and sophisticated technology has become a great equalizer in the global business economy, thus posing a fresh challenge to organization competitiveness and sustained business prosperity. It has been widely felt that the future of management is not an extrapolation of the past and it is imperative for the managers to have an in-depth and specialized knowledge about the direction in which the changes are taking place and the problems that plague every functional areas of management. In this background a two days National Conference is being organized by the Department of Management Studies, K.I.T.S., Ramtek on Jan. 19-20, 2010, as an attempt to provide a forum for academicians, corporate executives and learned personalities to discuss and analyze the latest trends in business management and information technology to call for papers. LOCATION OF KITS Ramtek is one of the important pilgrim centre and tourist attractions of Maharashtra State. It has both mythological and historic importance. It is hallowed by the feet of Lord Rama when he visited the ashram of the great sage Agastya on the hill nearby. It is at this holy place that Lord Rama took a vow to destroy the demons. Hence the place came to be known as Ramgiri or Ramtek. It is about 45 km from Nagpur and is well connected by road and rail. The institute is 7 KM from Nagpur-Jabalpur, National Highway (NH-7) towards Jabalpur. Ramtek is very pleasant during the month of February with minimum temperature of around 20o C and maximum of 30o C. A natural waterfall at Totaladoh and water sports at an artificial lake at Khindsi, Kalidas Memorial, Maharshi Agastya Ashram, historical Shri Ram Temple are other main tourist attractions around Ramtek. LOCAL SIGHTSEEING Institute will arrange post seminar local sightseeing depending upon the interest of a minimum number of participants. SPONSORSHIP Organizations are invited to sponsor the seminar and take part in it. Sponsorship is offered for Rs.25,000/-.
