PREAMBLE

 We are today, the inhabitants of a virtual environment, living in a virtual space.  Business management today is on the threshold of hectic competition, technological explosion, information evaluation and growing environmental concern.  New and sophisticated technology has become a great equalizer in the global business economy, thus posing a fresh challenge to organization competitiveness and sustained business prosperity.  It has been widely felt that the future of management is not an extrapolation of the past and it is imperative for the managers to have an in-depth and specialized knowledge about the direction in which the changes are taking place and the problems that plague every functional areas of management.

In this background a two days National Conference is being organized by the Department of Management Studies, K.I.T.S., Ramtek on Jan. 19-20, 2010, as an attempt to provide a forum for academicians, corporate executives and learned personalities to discuss and analyze the latest trends in business management and information technology to call for papers.

LOCATION OF KITS

Ramtek is one of the important pilgrim centre and tourist attractions of Maharashtra State.  It has both mythological and historic importance.  It is hallowed by the feet of Lord Rama when he visited the ashram of the great sage Agastya on the hill nearby.  It is at this holy place that Lord Rama took a vow to destroy the demons.  Hence the place came to be known as Ramgiri or Ramtek.  It is about 45 km from Nagpur and is well connected by road and rail.  The institute is 7 KM from Nagpur-Jabalpur, National Highway (NH-7) towards Jabalpur.

Ramtek is very pleasant during the month of February with minimum temperature of around 20o C and maximum of  30o C.  A natural waterfall at Totaladoh and water sports at an artificial lake at Khindsi, Kalidas Memorial, Maharshi Agastya Ashram, historical Shri Ram Temple are other main tourist attractions around Ramtek.

PAPER SUBMISSION

  • The paper should not exceed 3000 words and must be submitted on sheets of A4 size typed in 1.5 line spacing using Times Roman 10 Point.  A margin 5 cm on the left, 2.5 cm at the right, top and bottom should be maintained printed on one side only.
    Human capital valuation and people Management.

  • The title of the paper should be centered at the top and typed in bold capital letters.  This should be followed by the author's name and designation with the e-mail address on the left.

  • The paper must be an original work of the participant and must not have been presented or published elsewhere before this seminar.

  • Along with the paper a CD should also be sent for taking multiple copies of the said paper preferably on MS word.

  • Each submission should have the names of all authors, their affiliations, addresses, fax and telephone numbers and the e-mail address on a separate cover sheet.

  • The papers will be selected for presentation based on the subject interest, suitability, topicality and quality of the abstract and paper submitted.

IMPORTANT DATES

    1. Receipt of abstract (With in 300 words)                                   :  11th Dec.2009

    2. Notification of acceptance of abstract                                        :  14th Dec.2009

    3. Receipt of full paper along with Fees & nomination form           :  21st Dec.2009

    4. Notification of acceptance of paper                                            :  31st Dec.2009

PARTICIPATION

    1. Executives                                             :  Rs. 2500/-

    2. Academicians                                         :  Rs. 1500/-

    3. Research Scholar/PG Students              :  Rs.  500/-

All the remittances should be made through A/c payee Demand Draft in favour of "Organizing Secretary, EMIT 2010" payable at SBI/UCO Bank, Ramtek.

The registration fee includes working lunch, registration kit, proceedings and snacks etc.

PROCEEDINGS

Full text of the accepted papers will be published in the form of proceeding.

ACCOMODATION

Accommodation can be arranged in various hotels on payment as well as at institutional guest houses.  Please let us know your requirements well in advance.

LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

Institute will arrange post seminar local sightseeing depending upon the interest of a minimum number of participants.

SPONSORSHIP

Organizations are invited to sponsor the seminar and take part in it.  Sponsorship is offered for Rs.25,000/-.  This fee entails the sponsorer a full page black and white advertisement in the proceedings and free nomination of two delegates.
