KITS OPEN SPORTS MEET
("KOSM")
9-10th July.2010

RULES & REGULATIONS :

• Registration Fee Rs.300/- per participant and per accompanying faculty.
• Refundable caution deposit of Rs.500/- for all the teams.
• Mode of payment for the registration fee - the total amount may be remitted by a demand draft in favour of KITS payable at Ramtek.  The amount can also be paid in cash at the time of your registration at KITS, Ramtek.
• Free boarding and lodging for all the participants.  Accommodation will be provided in the hostel rooms.  Mattresses will be provided and boarding will be at students messes only.
• Shuttles and T.T. Balls will be provided by organizers.
• Each participant must produce his/her latest identification card and bonafide certificate attested by the Head of the Institution.
• We should receive your "participation form" latest by 25th June.2010, 17.00 Hrs.  We request you to fax us the "participation form" so that we can receive it at the earliest and confirm your participation as soon as possible.  Selection of participants will be on "First come First Serve" basis.
• From one college, there shall be only one team per event.
• The participation of your college will be confirmed by us, only after receiving your participation form.  A "Confirmation Form" will be faxed to you after considering your participation form.  You are requested to send your fax number in the participation form.  The confirmation letter will be mailed/faxed to you positively by 28th June.2010.
• Teams are required to produce their confirmation letter sent by us at the time of registration or else the college will not be registered for any event.
• Teams are required to bring two printed copies of the names of the participants according to the event they are participation in.
• The inauguration ceremony for KOSM will start on 9th July.2010 at 10.00 Hrs.  Accommodation facilities will be provided only from 9th July.2010.  Hence teams should make their arrangements accordingly.
• Participants who leave the campus for their personal work are directed to return inside the campus by 21.00 Hrs. failing which will lead to disqualification of the team.
• The fixtures for the matches will be put up during inaugural ceremony. However , the organizers reserve the right to make changes, if necessary due to unavoidable reasons.
• All the participants should strictly follow the rules and regulations of KITS.  These are subject to change as per the circumstances.  The decision of the organizers will be final and binding.

LOCATION OF KITS

Ramtek is one of the important pilgrim centre and tourist attractions of Maharashtra State.  It has both mythological and historic importance.  It is hallowed by the feet of Lord Rama when he visited the ashram of the great sage Agastya on the hill nearby.  It is at this holy place that Lord Rama took a vow to destroy the demons.  Hence the place came to be known as Ramgiri or Ramtek.  It is about 45 km from Nagpur and is well connected by road and rail.  The institute is 7 KM from Nagpur-Jabalpur, National Highway (NH-7) towards Jabalpur.

Ramtek is very pleasant during the month of February with minimum temperature of around 20^o C and maximum of  30^o C.  A natural waterfall at Totaladoh and water sports at an artificial lake at Khindsi, Kalidas Memorial, Maharshi Agastya Ashram, historical Shri Ram Temple are other main tourist attractions around Ramtek.
