We lay a lot of stress on the all round development of students. A number of forums are created department-wise and college-wise to assist the student to develop communication skills, organizational skills, tolerance to criticism, positive attitudes, leadership, capacity for mingling and getting-on with peers of different mentalities, etc.
Branch-wise Associations and Clubs function under the leadership of the students, which conduct seminars, guest lectures, quizzes etc and help the hesitant student members to bring out their hidden potentials. ISTE Student Chapter conducts technical events such as seminars, paper presentation, expert lectures, etc which will help students in organizing and presenting their knowledge. The Gate club trains students for GATE, GRE and other competitive examinations. The NCC unit strives to develop qualities of character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, and secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and ideas of selfless service amongst the young students to make them useful citizens. NSS club undertakes educational programs on health, cleanliness, literacy and ill effects of addiction, works like road lying in villages etc. The students come face to face with and learn the realities of our village life through these activities. Apart from the above activities, the students organize National level events and participate in technical as well as cultural programs conducted by other colleges. The students visit industries to acquire first hand knowledge of the industries.
The cultural club encourages the budding Professionals to exhibit their talents in cultural activities like singing, acting, dance, etc.

Each Engineering department of the Institute has a seminar/conference room for all the student presentations, training programs, quizzes and guest lectures and also student clubs and association activities.

Sports Amenities: International Sports Complex
The Sports and Games activities of the Institute are very good and encouraging as judged by the achievements of the students who brought laurels to the Institute. The Sports and Games activities are held throughout the academic year from July to February for both boys and girls.
The Indoor Games Complex, built to international standards, has facilities for basket-ball, badminton, table-tennis, caroms and chess and it has a gymnasium. The Institute has an well-equipped 12 and 4 stations gymnasium and weight lifting sets and about 140 students make use of these facilities everyday
Apart from this, out door games facilities like Cricket,foot ball, basket ball, Volley ball, Hand ball, Kabbadi, Kho-Kho, Lawn tennis and Tracks(200mts) are also available for sports and games purposes.
Prayer Hall & Meditation Center: The institute also has prayer hall, where in every Thursday bhajans are held and religious discourses are also conducted. The students who regularly practice yoga and meditation they make use of the meditation center also.
Bank: To cater to the needs of the students in connection with bank transactions like paying mess bills, branch of UCO Bank is located in the campus. The working hours of bank are from 11.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. from Monday to Friday and 11.00 to 2.00 p.m. on Saturday.
Post office: A Post Office is considered to be a vital connecting link anywhere. Post office located in the campus serves the needs of students, staff and official communication. It functions from 11.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. every day. Except for Sundays & Public Holidays.
P.C.O. : In order to facilitate an instant communication of the students with their parents, we provided a public call office right in the campus. It operates round the clock for marking telephone calls. Telephones are also installed in boys hostels and girls hostel to receive the in-coming calls for students.
CANTEEN : A canteen located in the campus caters to the needs of students and staff from 9.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. An open air space with low-grown hedges all round offers a pleasant experience of having snacks etc.
DISPENSARY : Medical facilities are provided to the needy through an in-house dispensary Consultant doctor is appointed on part time basis for the treatment of students suffering from ill health.
DEPARTMENT STORES : Department stores is running well to fulfill the daily needs of students. All concerned stationary, books, notebooks, drawing instruments and other fancy items are made available to students in the college campus.
T.V. FACILITY : For the entrainment of students, a multi-channel T.V. sets are provided in the hostels which remain open for a restricted period every day.
SECURITY : This Institute has a well-organized security watch and ward section which takes care of the safety of campus, its inhabitants and materials. |
